For bad or old stains, apply product and cover affected area for a few days prior to removal. Water rinse to remove residue and if required absorbent powder to prevent oil spills to surface drains.
Sweep up and dispose of according to local regulations.
Note Oil stains degrade Tarmac and Asphalt leaving behind an etched surface which appears as a dark stain this cannot be removed. Use Tarmac Sealer to coat residual staining from oil damage to the surface of Tarmac.
Q: I will it remove car oil that has dripped on the drive
A: It will remove mineral oil but not sythetic oil stains. You can always put the tarmac restorer over the surface to disguise the stains if they have dried out. However, you would need to do the entire area as it would otherwise look patchy.
Q: Does this product clean synthetic oil stains from tarmac? Thanks
A: The oil remover does not generally remove synthetic oil stains. If the oil stain is dry then you could consider coating the tarmac with tarmac restorer to diguise it.
Q: Can I use this product on a resin driveway?
A: Yes, it can the oil remover contains concentrated surfactants (cleaning agents) to help treat the stain, but no ingredients that could damage the resins on the driveway.
Customer service team very responsive. Still trying out the product - not sure how much of the staining is synthetic oil, for which this oil remover is not designed.
Very impressed. Had a large diesel spillage on our driveway which had really soaked in. A few applications sorted it.
