DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1) Before application make sure the surface is completely dry, clean and free from debris.
2) Apply the product thinly and evenly with a low pressure sprayer and microfibre mop, paint brush or soft cloth, taking care not to leave application marks or allowing the product to puddle on the surface.
3) Allow 45-60 minutes drying time before applying the second coat, repeating the same process apply the product in the opposite direction to help to achieve an even consistent finish. If necessary more coats can be applied to achieve the desired finish.
Please Note: Surfaces which are not to be sealed must be protected with masking material. Always test product in an inconspicuous area to determine suitability for intended use.
MAINTENANCE
To keep the treated areas looking good at all times use the pH Neutral Tile & Stone Cleaner. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents as they can damage the surface of the stone being treated.
Q: We have a french limestone floor which has been down for 20 years. What process and chemical would we need to follow/use prior to sealing the floor? Would the sealer stop muck embedding itself back into the limestone pores keeping a clean appearance?
A: As it is quite old, we would suggest cleaning it first with the Heavy Duty Tile and Stone Cleaner. Once dry any of the internal use sealers can be used. They will help to make cleaning and maintenance easier but the floor will need to be cleaned now and again to ensure it looks its best at all times.
Q: Is this product suitable for slate?
A: Yes, this type of sealer can be used on slate floors
Q: will this be okay for porcelain kitchen tiles
A: We only have one product we would recommend for porcelain, which is our Porcelain Sealer. The Superior Satin Sealer wouldn't be compatible for your surface.
Fantastic product. The sealer was easy to apply. Great results.
Worked nicely. Gave it 2 coats at 90 brushstrokes as instructed. It really brought out the colours from our fossil limestone bathroom tiles a lot better than the previous sealer we used. The only reason I've left one star off is that it didn't quite have as much effect on the surface as I'd hoped. We have a line of clear silicone sealant between the side of our shower enclosure and the limestone. The silicone has brought out a real depth of colour from the surface. I was hoping that this sealant would match it. While it's a lot more close than it was before, it is still easy to see the deeper colour of the tiles where the silicone sealant is. Will apply again in a year and hoping that another 2 coats will help.
Difficult to get wildly excited about this type of sealing product. Tempted to say 'It does exactly what it says on the tin' but I believe that is subject to copyright. Easy to apply and seems to do the job.
