This concrete sealer dries to a nice matt finish and is streak free. Very pleased with it.

Product FAQs

Q: Hello I am looking for a product to re seal my polished concrete floor that is in my kitchen and extends outside under a lean to. I have read about this product and I am interested. Would thus product also help repel staining and what product would you recommend after for cleaning the floors? These are heavy traffic areas as we are a farm thank you Jane

Jane Backhouse

A: If the floor is polished, the premium concrete sealer can be used but may not penetrate too easily into the smooth surface. A solvent based sealer may be better. The solvent based impregnating sealer may be better as the solvent will help the product penetrate better. The solvent based impregnator will also offer improved stain resistance, which is often important in kitchen areas.

Q: Hello! I would like to know if this seal is resistant to a higher temperature of up to 200 degrees Celsius. Thank you

Lucija

A: The product is heat resistant to a certain degree but we could not guarantee the product would resist temperatures at 200 degrees Celsius or above.

Q: Dear sir or madam, Could I ask if I could use your product to seal the outside of my artist made pottery mugs? I have seen a product called Liquid Quartz marketed to potters in Australia which turns out to be Nanoman stone and brick sealer. Artist potters are using this to seal their underglazes after they have been set in a bisque firing which is a low temperature firing, rather than a traditional clear glaze and final firing because it preserves the colour of the underglazes better. I know you cannot guarantee that this will work for me with your product but what I would like to ask is if there is any reason why I should not use it for a final coat on my mugs? I would not fire them after of course as this would be the reason to use your product. To save my mugs from that final firing and possible reduction of the colours in the underglazes. So, is it food safe? Can I paint it on top of my bisque fired underglazes to set them and could someone drink from that mug safely afterwards are my questions? Hand washed only afterwards of course. I know this is a huge question that you may only be able to give a partial answer to but if you can help a bit, I'd like to try your product for this application. Thank you very much, Juliet Bartlett

Juliet Bartlett

A: As this is an unusual request, we would suggest trying a sample to test first as it is hard to say 100% for sure that it would work to your expectations. Once cured the premium concrete sealer should be perfectly safe for anyone to drink from a mug coated with it.
