Q: Will one coat do, or would it require a second coat. And if a second, what amount of time between coats Also, is it a thick cream, or would it just run off down the outside wall ?
A: We recommend applying two coats of the brick sealer and using a sprayer is the best for of application. The second coat needs to be applied before the first coat is fully cured, so within an hour after the first coat has been applied. The brick sealer is a thin watery type product that looks like milk. We do have a masonry protection cream which is much thicker and will last longer. It is isually applied by brush or roller.
Q: Where is the company located
A: We are located in South Woodham Ferrers near Chelmsford in Essex
Q: If the small area of wood and wall inside is damp will this need to be chipped away. I need to buy time by reducing further rain damage until I can afford further repairs.
A: It is best to try to ensure the surface you are applying the brick sealer to is as dry as possible prior to application. If the surface is damp, this will inhibit the penetration of the brick sealer into the substrate, making it less effective.
First time I have used this product. Easy to apply. However I did use a lot more than it says I would have needed. Maybe due to porous bricks though. Tested for water resistance after it had dried and definitely makes a big difference. Water runs straight off. Happy with the product and so was my customer. Would use again
To date I have been unable to use this brick sealer as it has rained continuously since it arrived be assured that I will leave a review when Im able t use it
excellent performance. Highly recommend the brick sealer. Please use spray gun.
