Q: Hi I need to paint this stuff on two walls in my garage. I need 13.17 meter squares. Will one 10L tub do to cover both walls? I am looking to roller on the paint.
A: 10L of damp proof paint will be more than emough to cover 13 sq metres with two coats. Typical coverage is 4sq metre per litre with a 2 coat application.
Q: I have a 3x2m breeze block wall that is frequently damp which attracts mould and looks awful. The back of the wall is in soil and a beech hedge grows out of this.So digging out the back of the wall to stop any damp is not possible. Can you suggest a paint that would last and improve the visual appearance
A: This is not easy to resolve as the wall is in soil and moisture is probably leeching from the soil into the wall. Whatever you paint on the otherside will probably be affected by this moisture ingress from the earth. The damp proof paint which is available in four colours will help with the visual appearance and help to some degree with the moisture penetration. However, you may need to apply the paint more frequently because of how the wall is situated.
Q: I have a single brick garage, I am using it as a gym. Want to keep it bare brick, will this paint. Waterproof the walls so could hang tv on the brick?
A: The damp-proof paint can be applied to brickwork or masonry to act as a waterproofer. However, it is not clear and will colour the wall in whatever colour is selected. If you want to waterproof the bricks with a clear sealer then we would suggest using the masonry protection cream.
