Q: Can I apply this paint to a partly damp (lower section) internal garage wall?
A: For best results it is best to apply the Damp Proof paint to a dry substrate. Although, this may be difficult sometimes with damp being the issue that needs resolving, applying to a slightly damp surface could result in the paint not adhering correctly to the surface.
Q: Can this paint be used a paint sprayer? And does it need to be diluted if used?
A: It may be possible to spray using an airless paint sprayer but the product is quite thick, so the tip size used would need to be right. It does not need to be diluted.
Q: How many coats on an external wall do you recommend to stop penetrating damp? I have already painted the wall once, but a damp moisture meter is still registering a high reading. The wall previously had cavity wall insulation which has been removed some time ago.
A: The damp proof paint is a two coat application at a coverage rate of 4sq metre per litre. It shoud be applied to a dry substrate if possible.
