Product Reviews
By Tomasz Kolodynski

I did not take any before and after photographs. I can honestly say that the results were amazing. For years I used to pressure wash the footpaths and patio area but I was never satisfied with the outcome. Using the Natural Stone Cleaner was a game changer. I have no hesitation in giving this product a 5 star rating. I will certainly recommend it.

Product Description

Smartseal Xtreme Natural Stone Cleaner is a professional grade cleaner specially formulated for the quick removal of black spot, mould, mildew, green algae and general surface staining from all types of natural stone.

Suitable for use on:

  • Sandstone
  • Black Limestone
  • Granite
  • Slate
  • Marble
  • Travertine
  • Quartz

It is used widely by homeowners as well as professional cleaning companies to clean most types of natural stone without the need for intensive pressure cleaning. It's an easy to apply, fast-acting formulation, that leaves outstanding results and makes natural stone cleaning easier than ever before. Unlike acidic based cleaners, this powerful alkaline cleaner can be used on all types of natural stone without risk of damage to the surface.

In most cases, a dilution ratio of 1:1 is sufficient to get outstanding results but in cases of heavier surface contamination, the product can be applied neat and left for longer to dwell on the surface.

Technical

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

1. To avoid damage to vegetation, saturate surrounding areas with water before and after applying product.
2. For best results DILUTE AT A RATIO OF 1:1 and apply by sprayer or watering can in temperatures above 5°C and to avoid fast evaporation, no higher than 22°C.
3. On heavily soiled areas or areas contaminated with black spot work in with hand brush or broom. Leave on the surface for 1-2 hours.
4. Rinse off with clean water or pressure washer, removing any residue of the cleaning solution.
5. In areas of very heavy soiling apply undiluted and if required re-apply, repeating process above leaving for a longer period (2-3hrs).

Product FAQs

Q: Hi- will this cleaner remove the white efflorescence from our Indian limestone patio tiles?

Briony

A: The xtreme natural stone cleaner will not remove efflorescence from a limestone patio. To remove the efflorescence you would need to use an efflorescence remover which is usually acid based unlike the xtreme which is an alkaline formulation.

Response from Nick

Q: I have Kandla grey sandstone which has been stained by brush in jointing compound. What do you recommend to help remove the stains?

James Wilson

A: The residue remover is usually used to remove any residues from brush-in jointing compounds.

Response from Nick

Q: Hi I purchased the extreme clean natural stone cleaner for my kandla grey Indian stone patio, do I have to wet the surface before I put the cleaner on?

Daniel Rogers

A: Its not absolutely necessary to dampen the surface first. As soon as you apply the xtreme patio cleaner its more important to work it into the surface with a stiff brush or broom to get the best results.
